Platforms that will be used for this campaign will use a variety of social media marketing, billboard and outdoor marketing, packaging promotion, in-store promotion, TVC, and email marketing.
Social Media Marketing
A social media campaign will be implemented for Dettol on Instagram and TikTok. We will have three different social media marketing campaigns. The first one will be a part of the pre-launch, and it will be some sort of a teaser to tease both Dettol consumers and FIFA fans. The goal of this is to increase curiosity and gain more recognition on Dettol’s Instagram page, as well as sharing Dettol’s page. It will include an instagram split post, and a story for each language once the split post is complete. The second social media campaign will be advertising posts to encourage customers to purchase Dettol products in order for them to get a chance to win tickets to the tournament. On instagram, we would also be posting about the application that we will be creating. The last campaign which will be a part of the post-launch, will be a viral TikTok hashtag that will be used as a testimonial for what Dettol offered during the world cup.
Billboard & Outdoor marketing
This billboard & outdoor marketing will be placed on GCC taxis as a humorous way of grabbing people's attention and increasing brand awareness for Dettol. There will also be stickers on the floor of stadiums and fan zones as a reminder for people to keep their hygiene intact. There will also be an interactive digital billboard which will require signing up through following social media accounts, as well as playing games.
Packaging promotion
The packaging promotion will include Dettol changing its labeling to a more world cup appropriate label which will be football-themed to fit into the spirit of the world cup.
in-store promotion
In-store promotion will increase sales in Dettol products, especially from football fans as it would encourage them to buy a Dettol product and get a chance to go watch their long-awaited match of the season through a QR code.
TVC
Tv advertising will be a video campaign that will be broadcasted on all TV channels that broadcast the world cup tournament, along with Hulu & Amazon, and tv streaming applications.
email marketing
The email marketing strategy will be leveraged for feedback from consumers after this campaign and it will be used for future posts and campaigns.
